The Laser technology is really interesting for fashion designers and artisans. With a laser machine is possible to cut and engrave textiles like cotton, silk, felt, microfiber and leather. Let’s make a neoprene IT BAG in just few steps!

What do we need?
Neoprene (approx. 1.5mm thick), needle and thread, a button and a cloth to clean the laser-cutted neoprene pieces.

How do we do it?
Prepare the graphic in CorelDraw or Illustrator. Choose the bag’s design, its size and eventually the engraved decorations.

What laser is suitable?
We’ve used a Speedy300 (30w) and the following settings:
Engraving: Power: 40% - Speed: 50% - Frequency: 500 ppi - Air Assist: ON
Soft engraving : Power: 20% - Speed: 50% - Frequency: 500 ppi - Air Assist: ON
Cutting: Power: 30% - Speed: 2.0% - Frequency: 2000 Hz - Air Assist: ON

Before you take the pieces out of the laser, clean any smoke residue off of the fabric with a damp cloth.
For the strongest join, sew the edges together by hand or with a sewing machine. You can also use special neoprene glue to join the pieces.
There are many options to close the clutch. You can use a classic button, a magnetic closure, a snap fastener or Velcro.
