We're still waiting for the Maker Faire Rome schedule to be completely finalized, but it's time to start planning your visit to this amazing fair, held for the first time in a European format. More than 200 projects selected by coordinators will be on show from all over the world and performances, workshops and conference panels will make your days exciting.

First of all, remember that Maker Faire is held at Palazzo dei Congressi (Piazzale Kennedy – EUR – Rome) from October 3rd to October 6th. Opening times to the public vary: 10.00-19.00 on Thursday, October 3rd; 15.00-19.00 on Friday, October 4th; 9.30-19.00 on Saturday, October 5th; 9.30-18.00 on Sunday, October 6th. On the first two days entrance is free (with pre-registration). On Saturday and Sunday daily ticket price is 8,00€ for adults and 4,00€ for under 18 and students. Families are welcome and can buy the family ticket (4€ each for parents and children). Further reduction for groups are available.

Here you can find how to get tickets at a discounted price. You just need to fill this simple form in order to receive an e-mail with the code for to buy your (adult) ticket at the special price of 3,50€. Be quick: you can do it only until September 20.

How to ReMake the World (October 3rd, 10-19) - Chairman Riccardo Luna and guest stars of the international Makers movement will explain who Makers are and where the New Industrial Revolution movement was born. Among the guests: David John Gauntlett, sociologist and media theorist; Raffaello D’Andrea, ETH Zurich professor, co-founder of Kiva and roboticist; Dale Dougherty, co-founder of O'Reilly Media and CEO of Maker Media. Techgarage – the business of making (October 4th, 15-19) - The final stage of the european Barcamper Makers Tour, which travelled through all Europe looking for innovative startup ideas in the Makers sector (MakeTank will be there with other 10 selected projects). A panel of experts, managers, venture capitalists, journalists, bloggers and professors will evaluate the projects which will be presented in Rome. Moreover, four speakers are not to be missed: Dale Dougherty, co-founder of O'Reilly Media and CEO of Maker Media; Stefano Micelli, author of Futuro Artigiano, Mathilde Berchon, consultant, communication expert and founder of MakingSociety.com; Luciano Belviso, startupper and CEO of Blackshape.
