If Open Hardware is an open book for you and you're bursting of creative ideas, it's time to show us what you can do. Our contest DesignWinMake got a new deadline - Friday, November 15th - for its second edition focused on Open Hardware technologies. DesignWinMake is challenging Makers from all over Europe to design innovation mixing creativity and social utility: if you have an innovative solution reinventing a common object through Open Hardware digital technologies, this is the right contest for you.

All DesignWinMake projects will be judged from three main points of view: novelty; integration between material features and Open Hardware technologies; if the final product can be easily sold via e-commerce.

Taking part in DesignWinMake is easy: fill the form published on www.designwinmake.it and follow the instructions to send all requested documentation. Participation is free.

DesignWinMake jury: Barbara Rita Barricelli (visiting fellow University of Weston, London – member of Girl Geek Dinners Milano); Enrico Bassi (FabLab Torino coordinator); Daniele D’Arrigo (FabLab Firenze – Make Ausili project coordinator); Leonardo Lenzi (web designer - co-founder of Arredativo.it) e Francesco Pignatelli (IT freelance journalist).

MakeTank will organize a special event in a dedicated location (e.g. a FabLab) where DesignWinMake participants will be invited to make together a prototype of the winning project - as a kit or with the actual object it's been designed to reinvent. At the winning designer's discretion, his solution will be sold through MakeTank online marketplace.
